We are No Borders—your trusted anti-fascist source for clothing and other gear related to politics, music, streetwear, and soccer. In addition to our online shop, we’ve been running a retail store in the Leipzig-Connewitz neighborhood since 2017, not far from where it all began two years earlier in a musty, damp 15-square-meter room.
In addition to the complete selection of items from our own brand, No Borders Clothing, our range includes T-shirts, hoodies, bags, hats, socks, shorts, flags, buttons, stickers, and much more. We focus on our own products, but also carry items from other anti-fascist brands such as Mob Action, Black Mosquito, Fire & Flames, True Rebel, and Limbus Goods. It’s also worth taking a look at the reading corner and the record selection.
Since the beginning, we’ve been collaborating with anti-racist and anti-fascist sports clubs. That’s why at No Borders you’ll also find club merchandise and sportswear from various clubs, such as Roter Stern Leipzig, FC St. Pauli, BSG Chemie Leipzig, Roter Stern Kickers, Borussia Leer, and IFC Rostock.
Practical Constraints and Turf Battles
We don’t take ourselves too seriously and know that we’re navigating a sea of contradictions and practical constraints. Not everything we do is part of some grand plan or based on a profound conceptual foundation. As hamsters on the wheel of bureaucracy and logistics, we often simply lack the time for deep conceptual exploration and polished output.
We try to provide a platform for progressive ideas and approaches, but we do not subject ourselves to rigid principles or dogmas. For one thing, opinions within our own team vary widely on many topics and are constantly changing. On the other hand, we are often simply too ignorant and uninformed to view our own standpoint as the ultimate truth in the vast jungle of topics and multifaceted causes. That is why our aim is rather to contribute to the exchange of ideas and give voice to different approaches.
For us, militant thinking and action are indispensable for eliminating existing inequalities and restrictions on freedom at the expense of the majority of this planet’s inhabitants. We realize that the symbolism used in this context often falls short in substance. However, as is well known, revolution begins in the mind, and even the smallest message sent out into the world can eventually take root.
No Borders - Cockatoo
We’re often asked what the deal is with that cute bird that keeps popping up on our clothes and other merchandise. The answer is quite simple. This feathered friend is a cockatoo and our No Borders brand logo. As a mohawk-wearing troublemaker, he embodies the punk rock attitude that suits us perfectly and couldn’t care less about rules, prohibitions, and borders. Colorful and progressive, just like parrots are, he’s not interested in origin, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. The No Borders cockatoo just wants to have a good time and be free and self-determined. Luckily, he has wings and can go wherever he wants.
