In opinion polls, support for the AfD continues to rise, and in some federal states, the AfD is not far from an absolute majority. This situation is alarming in light of what the AfD stands for and what its electoral successes could make possible.
We would like to counter this trend because a strong AfD threatens all of our freedoms and quality of life, while financially strengthening far-right structures and normalizing them in society.
In the process, it became clear to us that while an “FCK AFD” sticker has its place, it won’t change the minds of potential AfD voters. So we decided to take a different, more pragmatic approach at the same time. We’re making stickers for AfD voters.
The stickers are deliberately designed—in terms of language and content—to appeal to potential AfD voters and to highlight aspects of the party’s platform that they often overlook. For this reason, gender-neutral language was omitted, as were references to certain “progressive” controversial issues.
The AfD stands not only for ethno-nationalist, sexist, racist, and authoritarian views, but also for many other positions that should be troubling even to people who don’t care about the aforementioned “red flags”—or who even share them.
