Description

The popular "Ox cookbook" is already in its sixth edition!

Since 1997, it has become the indispensable standard work for meat-free cooking and has helped numerous people to venture into the cooking pot and oven for the first time. Anyone who thinks vegan cooking and baking is complicated simply hasn't tried purely plant-based cuisine à la "cooking without bones". The heads behind the punk rock magazine "Ox", Joachim Hiller and Uschi Herzer, have been living and cooking without animal products for many years - and therefore know exactly what they are talking about.

In their new cookbook, they present over 150 recipes, including basics for starters, soups, main courses, desserts and sweets, but also elaborate dishes as well as popular classics from Germany and all over the world, all in vegan form. In their creative, vegan punk-rock cuisine, they not only use meat alternatives made from soy and seitan, but also show in many recipes how to prepare delicious dishes without resorting to meat, cheese and co. Whatever tastes good and gives pleasure is allowed - as long as it is vegan!

Of course, the music tips for each recipe and the illustrations by Rautie are not missing this time either.

A look at the authors:

Uschi Herzer, born in 1963, fell in love with punk in 1984. In the eighties she was the editor of the fanzine "She Wears Red Pyjamas". She has been with the "Ox Fanzine" since the first issue and is responsible, among other things, for the "Ox-Kochstudio". She is co-author of the Ox cookbooks and co-founder and editor of the edition Kochen ohne Knochen.

Joachim Hiller, born in 1968, founded the punk rock fanzine "Ox" in 1988 and has devoted himself full-time to his work as publisher and editor-in-chief since the mid-nineties. He was co-author of the first Ox cookbook and has also contributed to the five other cookbooks. He is also the co-founder and editor of Edition Kochen ohne Knochen.
